# Extension settings

> Control appearance, per-platform capture, sync health, and your account from the extension settings tab.

Open the settings by clicking the gear icon in the extension popup. It opens a full tab titled "Stashr settings".

## Appearance

Set the theme with **Light**, **Dark**, or **System**.

## Platforms

One switch per supported platform. Today that is **Twitter/X**, **Reddit**, **TikTok**, and **Instagram**, and new platforms join the list over time. Each label reads "Capturing saves" or "Off". Turning a platform off stops both real-time capture and imports for it. The same toggles are mirrored on the web app's [Connections page](/docs/connections).

## Sync health

This section shows "Everything's healthy." or any recent problems. Examples of problems it can report include a platform whose last capture failed with a reason, and an upload that failed for a platform with a reason.

## Account

Shows the email you are signed in as, plus a **Sign out** button. If you are signed out, the settings page shows a prompt to sign in on the web app.

## About

Shows the extension version and an "Open Stashr" link.

## Toolbar icon badge

The badge on the toolbar icon means:

| Badge | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Red count | Failed uploads |
| Brand-colored count | Items uploading |
| "…" | An import is running |
| Blank | Idle |
