Does it work on every website?

Any regular http or https page. Posts on platforms Stashr captures natively, like X, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and GitHub, are saved through their own bookmark, save, or star buttons instead.

Why does Chrome ask for site access?

Stashr needs to read the page once to pull the article and fetch its cover image. Chrome asks the first time you save a page. If you decline, nothing is saved and it asks again next time.

What if the page isn't an article?

If there's no readable article, Stashr still saves the page with its title, description, link, and cover image, so you have the bookmark even without body text.

The cover image is stored by Stashr. Images inside the article are shown from the original site, so they display as long as the site keeps them up.

Can I save just an image or a snippet instead?

Yes. Right-click an image or a text selection and choose the matching Save to Stashr item. Those land in your library as web clips.

Can I save a page from my phone or by pasting a link?

Not yet. Page saves run through the browser extension today. A share sheet and paste-a-URL are on the roadmap.

What it does

Not everything worth keeping lives on a social platform. A blog post, a docs page, a recipe, a long read. Right-click anywhere on the page, choose Save page to Stashr, and the extension pulls out the readable article, the way a reader view would, and files it in your library.

Your copy keeps the structure, not just the text: headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, tables, and the images in the article, plus the site name, author, and publish date. It gets the same AI tags and plain-English search as every other save, so a page you clipped last year is as easy to find as a post you bookmarked this morning.

How it works

One right-click. Nothing to paste, nothing to fill in.

1. Right-click the page

On any article, right-click and choose Save page to Stashr. The first time, Chrome asks once for site access so Stashr can grab the cover image.

2. Stashr reads the article

The extension strips the navigation, ads, and sidebars, keeps the article itself with its formatting and images, and pulls the title, author, and cover.

3. It lands in your library

The page shows up as a card with its cover, site, byline, and read time, auto-tagged and searchable next to everything else you've saved.

Why people use it

Most tools save a link. A link is only useful while the page is still there and you still remember what it was.
