What Stashr saves from Reddit
Reddit's Saved list quietly mixes posts and comments into one long feed you can't search or filter, and anything you saved can vanish if the post is removed, the account is deleted, or a subreddit goes private. Stashr captures the whole thing the moment you save. Whether it's a post or a single comment, your extension grabs it and files a permanent copy in your library.
For every save, Stashr keeps the author, the subreddit, the full body text, any images or gallery, and the original link, so your copy holds up on its own. Even if the thread is later deleted or locked, what you saved is still there to read and search.
What gets captured
How saving from Reddit works
Save the way you already do. Stashr handles the rest in the background.
1. Save on Reddit
Use Reddit's own Save option from the … menu on any post or comment, exactly like you do now. Stashr watches for it, so there's nothing new to learn.
2. Stashr grabs the full item
The moment you save, the extension pulls the whole post or comment in the background and a small “Stashed” tooltip pops up to confirm. You keep reading.
3. It lands in your library
Your copy is filed, auto-tagged in your own words, and searchable in plain English, kept permanently even if the original is later removed.
Bring your Reddit backlog over
Already have a packed Saved list? Run a one-time import from the extension and Stashr backfills your saved posts and comments into your library as the same permanent, searchable copies.
It runs in the background while you keep working, and it never touches your Saved list on Reddit. Reddit only keeps your most recent saves available, so the sooner you import, the more it catches.
Why people use it
Reddit is happy to save your posts and comments. It is not built to help you find them again.
Saves that outlive the thread
A Reddit save is just a pointer, so deleted posts, removed comments, and private subreddits leave you with blanks. Your Stashr copy keeps the text and images for good.
Posts and comments, finally findable
Reddit's Saved list has no real search and no folders. In Stashr every save is auto-tagged and findable in plain English, comments included.
One library for everything
Your Reddit saves sit alongside what you keep from X, Instagram, and TikTok, all searchable from one place.
Nothing new to do
You save on Reddit exactly as you always have. Stashr just makes each one permanent, organized, and searchable.
