About Stashr
An independent product, built and run by one person.
Stashr is a bookmark manager for the things you save on social platforms. A Chrome extension watches the save and bookmark buttons you already use on X, Reddit, TikTok, and Instagram, plus right-click web clips from any site, and mirrors every save into one permanent, searchable library. AI tags each save, the text and images are stored so a post survives being deleted, and search works by meaning, so "that pasta recipe with brown butter" finds the post even if those words never appeared in it.
Who is behind it
Stashr is made by Deckard Gerritsen, a software developer based in Australia, trading as Stashr. There is no company behind the product, no investors, and no growth team: Deckard designs, builds, supports, and pays for it. The privacy policy and terms of service name the same person as the entity responsible for your data, and the contact page reaches him directly.
Why it exists
Stashr started as a fix for one person's problem: saves scattered across half a dozen apps, none of them searchable, and the posts that mattered kept disappearing when their authors deleted them or the platform changed its mind. Instead of a list of links, Stashr keeps the actual content of everything you save and makes it findable again from whatever you remember about it.
How it is run
- Paid, not ad-funded. Stashr is a subscription product with a card-free trial. There are no advertising trackers, your library is never sold or shared for marketing, and AI providers are not allowed to train general-purpose models on your content. The details are in the privacy policy.
- Built in the open about what it does. Every platform, capture type, and limitation is documented in the docs; the changelog is on the blog; and the API, CLI, and MCP server let you, your scripts, and your AI tools work with your library outside the app.
- Your data stays yours. You can delete your account and library at any time, and archived saves are purged with their media after 30 days.
