What about issues, pull requests, or gists?

Stars only for now. Stashr captures repositories you star, not issues, PRs, or gists.

Are private repos included?

Yes. Stashr uses your own GitHub session in the browser, so any private repo you can see and star is captured too. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

What happens when I unstar a repo?

Stashr removes it from your library to match, so your library mirrors your stars.

Can I import the stars I already have?

Yes. A one-time import from the extension backfills your whole Stars list, including private repos.

Does it need a GitHub token?

What Stashr saves from GitHub

GitHub's Stars page is a single chronological list. There are no tags, search only matches the repo name, and after a few hundred stars the tool you know you saved is somewhere in there, unfindable. Stashr captures each repo the moment you star it and files a copy in your library, with the same AI tagging and plain-English search as every other save.
