The tool is built for the Netscape bookmark HTML format used by Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox, and Safari exports. Chrome is the main target, but the parser looks for the shared folder/link structure rather than a Chrome-only field.
No. The file is read locally with the FileReader API and parsed in your browser with DOMParser. Stashr does not upload, store, or log the bookmark contents.
Each bookmark includes title, URL, folder path, add date when the export provides it, and icon data when present. CSV flattens the folder path, JSON keeps it as an array, Markdown groups links by folder, and OPML preserves the folder tree.
Open Chrome's Bookmark Manager, use the three-dot menu, and choose Export bookmarks. Chrome downloads a bookmarks.html file that you can drop into this converter.
