- Install the extension
Install the extension
Add the Stashr Chrome extension and sign in once to start capturing your saves.
Stashr captures your saves through a Chrome extension. It is built for Chrome and shares your web app session, so there is no separate login to manage.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
Open the store listing
Go to the Chrome Web Store listing for Stashr: AI Bookmark Saver and add it to Chrome. It is a Manifest V3 extension.
Sign in on the web
There is no separate extension login. Sign in at stashr.me and the extension picks up your session automatically. On a fresh install, if you are not signed in, the extension opens the login page for you. The signed-out popup shows "Welcome to Stashr" with a Sign in on web button.
Finish first-run onboarding
After sign-in, the popup shows "You're all set" with your signed-in email and a "Where Stashr works" row of the supported platform logos. Choose Start saving, or Import existing bookmarks to pull in your existing saves.
Import on first run (optional)
The second onboarding step lets you pick one platform and import from it right away, or choose Skip, I'll save as I go. You can import the rest anytime from the popup home screen. See Importing your saves for the full flow.
Permissions
The extension asks only for the access it needs to capture on the supported platforms and sync with stashr.me, so Chrome may show a standard permissions prompt when you add it. Broad "all sites" access is not requested up front: it is optional and prompted once, in context, the first time you use "Save image to Stashr" on an arbitrary page. See Web clips.
The popup home screen
Once installed, the toolbar popup home screen shows:
- Your lifetime bookmark count with a "+N today" badge
- A sync status bar
- One row per platform with an Import button
- An Open library button
The web app header shows a puzzle-piece extension indicator. It turns green when the extension is installed and connected.
Verify it works
Save any post on a supported platform and look for the "Stashed" tooltip near the save button. If you see it, the extension is capturing correctly. Learn more in How saving works.
Which browsers?
Stashr is built for Chrome. Chromium-based browsers that install extensions from the Chrome Web Store generally work too.
