Saving from TikTok
Favorite a video or photo post on TikTok and Stashr captures it, including photo slideshows and caption-only posts.
Stashr watches TikTok's native bookmark button, the ribbon icon. Favorite a post on TikTok and it lands in your Stashr library.
Saving a post
Tap the ribbon icon
Click TikTok's bookmark (favorite) button on any post. This works in the feed and on video and photo detail pages.
Look for the confirmation
A small "Stashed" tooltip appears for a second. If the capture failed, it says "Failed" in red; the post is still favorited on TikTok either way.
Find it in your library
The post appears in your bookmarks. If AI tagging is on, tags follow shortly after.
Unfavoriting on TikTok removes the post from Stashr too. The tooltip shows "Unstashed" to confirm.
What gets captured
- The caption or description.
- The author, both name and handle.
- The cover image of the video.
- Photo-mode posts (slideshows) in full: every image slide is stored.
- Caption-only text posts.
Videos are not stored
The video file itself is never stored. Stashr keeps the cover image and links back to TikTok for playback.
Importing your TikTok favorites
Press Import on the TikTok row in the extension popup. Stashr uses a TikTok tab, or opens one, and fetches your Favorites through TikTok's own requests. There is no scrolling and no need to navigate to the Favorites page yourself. You must be logged in to TikTok.
Rate limits
Rate limits are handled automatically. If TikTok slows Stashr down, it waits about a minute and continues.
